Hear the fascinating story of the transformation of a poor heathland region to a flourishing industrial society in Central Jutland. Technology, infrastructure, and power sources triggered explosive growth around the mid-20th century. Cities boomed, and factories arose in basements and backyards as men and women flooded into the cities of Central Jutland to find jobs in the textile industries. However, in the late 1980s, outsourcing began, and the industry moved away, creating entirely new conditions for the Danish textile industry.
