Museum Private Tour – When Women Started Earning for Their Work

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025

Place: -

The boom in the textile industry from the 1950s onwards laid the foundation for women’s emancipation in Central Jutland. This guided tour takes you back in time, allowing you to follow in these women’s footsteps. From the outskirts to the heart of the matter. Women came from the farms and into the factories, earned their own money, and could afford new goods, including sanitary pads. Along the way, we discuss all the latest developments: daycare, leisure activities, wages, loneliness, double shifts, and wear and tear. The Textile Museum has what is probably Denmark’s only historical sanitary pad machine, which we turn on during the tour. Join us for a tour focusing on the women of Central Jutland and their emancipation.

Price: 16 Euros *Minimum 15 people for the Tour
