Located just an hour away from the conference city of Herning, Aarhus is the second biggest city in Denmark and also one of the oldest. It is referred to as ‘The City of Smiles’ and on the 3rd of June 2025 (the day before the official opening of EC2025), we want to show you exactly why.

In 2017 Aarhus was the culture capital of Europe and whether you are into business, tourism or local cuisine, we’ve got you covered! 

Our day starts at the Aarhus Central station where we will meet up before we head out into the city on foot. You can arrive by train, bus or car and. If you arrive with your luggage, we will provide safe storage so you don’t need to carry it with you all day. 

During the day, we will visit a couple of local companies to learn about Danish innovation and work culture. We will then continue the city walk and introduce you to both new and old Danish architecture which the city of Aarhus is well known for. We will visit The Latin Quarter, one of the oldest parts of Aarhus and here we will enjoy the coziness of the narrow cobblestone streets, plazas and Aarhus Cathedral. 

Lunch and dinner are included in the ticket price, and you will get to try some local food. Snacks and water will also be provided throughout the day.

The day concludes with an included bus ride to the conference headquarter hotel in Herning, so you can get settled in and be ready for the official opening the day after.
